Adventure Club members can attend this event as one of your free monthly adventures
When: Tuesday, June 17 at 12:45PM
Please arrive at the trailhead between 12:45PM and 1PM. We will begin our hike promptly at 1PM.
*This event repeats at different trailheads on the third Tuesday of each month*
Where: Scout Ridge Trail
About the hike and what to expect: Scout Ridge trail follows a bluff along Cottonwood Creek and overlooks the Palmer Hay Flats. The trail is mellow with a few inclines and declines underneath a canopy of birch and cottonwood. The trail goes through the woods and passes by small lakes and streams. As you walk along, you are passing through the ancient remains of Athabaskan settlements. Along the trail, we will stop at the Scout Ridge Overlook where we can look out over the hay flats, the Chugach Mountains, the Knik River Valley, and Pioneer Peak.
This afternoon walk/hike is designed for more 'seasoned' hikers. We'll be moving at a leisurely pace, chatting along the way. Hikers can expect to adventure for about 2 hours - sometimes these events are bit less, sometimes these activities are a bit more. Our objective is rarely a specific destination - but more about enjoying time in the outdoors.

Trip minimums: We require a minimum of 2 registered participants to run our community adventures. If a scheduled event is canceled due to low sign-ups, participants will receive a full refund or credit towards a future event. Adventure Club members can receive a credit towards future Revel events.
Weather: We rarely cancel due to inclement weather. Please bring gear to adventure in the elements. If you need to borrow something, let us know! We have lots of extra supplies and are happy to loan items out.
