About the snowshoe and what to expect: For this intro to snowshoeing, we will help you strap on snowshoes and float on the snow. We will start at the trailhead, reviewing gear basics and helping everyone get acclimated with their equipment. From there, we’ll set off on a packed trail to get used to walking in snowshoes on a relatively even surface. After we’ve built up our confidence, we’ll leave the trail and start trudging around in the snow. On the powder, you will experience the feeling of floating in the snow. We will snowshoe up to 3 miles at a leisurely pace.
❄️ Mileage: Approximately 2-3 miles along uneven terrain
❄️ Elevation Gain: <500 feet
❄️ Estimated Snowshoeing Time: About 2-2.5 hours
❄️ Easy for moderate for most adventurers

A note on flexibility: The nature of adventuring outside requires some flexibility. We do our best to follow the itinerary as outlined, but we may need to shift plans for a variety of reasons. Safety is our priority, and we use our best judgment when making trip adjustments.
