Where: Meet at Eklutna Lake parking area in Chugach State Park.

About: Biking the Eklutna lakeshore trail is a rite of passage for Alaskan adventurers! We’ll plan to pedal from the day-use parking lot to Bold Airstrip at the far end of the lake and back. Packed gravel and dirt with small rolling hills and sections of dirt road means you’ll need tires with good traction - a mountain, gravel, or fat bike is required for this outing (see rental information in link if you don’t have a bike). We’ll stay together as a group; ride at a leisurely pace; and stop for breaks, to identify plants, photograph the views, and learn more about this interesting body of water.
Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous for most bikers
Distance: Approximately 15 miles
