“One of the highlights of our trip was the Revel Teks and Tours - Hike and Brew! Kierre and Emily were amazing! The knowledge they shared was awesome and unexpected! The hike was perfect for our group as they give options prior to heading to the trails. They have snacks and water waiting back at the car which was a nice touch. The brew scene in Palmer was super fun too! I highly recommend! I would have done another hike with them if we weren't leaving the next day. Thank you Revel!”

Some of our favorite guided half day hiking locations:

Bodenburg Butte Hike

This hike takes you to the summit of Bodenburg Butte, where you'll be rewarded (as long as the weather permits) with panoramic views of the Matanuska Valley, the Talkeetna Mountains, and the Chugach Range. It's an ideal spot for capturing photos of the Knik Glacier.

We generally hike this trail on our Rocks, Rivers and Glaciers: Hike and History trip.

Gold Mint Hike

This well-maintained trail is accessible to hikers of various levels, though terrain can be uneven. Hikers venture through the Mint Valley, framed by towering mountains in the Talkeetnas. We love hiking this trail because it offers opportunities to discuss mining history of the region while soaking in the stunning Alaskan scenery.

Hatcher Pass Hike

Hatcher Pass offers a variety of trail and off-trail hiking destinations. Most of our hikes in Hatcher Pass are moderate climbs above treeline. The beauty of climbing above the trees is (weather pending) the non-stop views of scenic landscapes, alpine tundra and Talkeetna mountains. Hikes in Hatcher Pass offer opportunities to find alpine lakes, old mines and more.
